Talbot Hotel Clonmel

Myself and my partner stayed in the Talbot Hotel last Saturday 5th Sept while we were visiting my brother and his wife who live in Fethard.

We found parking no problem despite the fact there was a wedding on when we arrived with many of the guests in the lobby area. However, our check in was prompt and efficient and the lady at reception was lovely.

We got to our room and it was beautifully turned out and very clean. We also had an excellent night's sleep in the bed, after a lovely meal in the restaurant with my family, who eat there on a regular basis.

We arrived for breakfast near the end time which we normally wouldn't but the staff couldn't have been more accommodating and the lady on reception the next morning, who I think* was called Tina sent us off with a smile on our face with her friendly, good humoured nature.

We will definitely be regular visitors to the Talbot based on this experience!

Had a girls birthday weekend. Was great value and we all had the best time. Had afternoon tea which was delicious, afternoon swim, 3 course dinner fantastic, a boogie in the nightclub folllowed by cocktails with live music in the main bar. Was brilliant night. There was 6 of us and we shared two adjoining triple rooms and worked out to €115 pp. Full irish breakfast the next morning went down a treat. The only negative was that the main bar was a bit understaffed and staff seemed stressed coz it was so busy. Cant blame em tho. Cocktails were fantastic. But yeah id def book in here again. All staff were really lovely and could have a bit of craic with them. Keep up the good work lads. We def be back.

Everything was good, except that there was no air conditioning, there was only a fan in the room. Breakfast was good, and the rooms were clean and of decent size.
